Dry Docking November 2009
The ship has to go to dry dock every now and then so that the hull can be cleaned, painted and repairs carried out. The Bute and Argyle have a quick drydocking each second year and a full longer docking on the alternate years. Lloyds inspections and MCA inspections are also carried out to ensure that the ship stays "In Class" and "PC" (passenger Certificates) can be maintained. The photos below were taken during the November 2009 docking at the Garvel dock in Greenock.
